Hello!

Master 14month old is frequently feeding on demand, 24/7 and I think it’s time to stop! Any ideas how to start? He won’t take formula or cows milk (cause he’s smart…)

  • I did cold turkey with my son. My daughter I expressed and put my milk in a sippy cup and then slowly changed to full cream mill over a week ( she was 17 months)


  • I gradually decreased my feeding times. The more solids they were eating, the less breast they got, the less they wanted. Got it down to morning and night feeds by 8 months, just night at 9 and completely finished not long after


  • just slowly try to distract your child away from the booby


  • He just grabs at them all the time, pulling my top and even says Tity lol


  • I slowly weaned off by skipping feeds for example one week was 4 feeds a day then next week 3 feeds a day, then next week 2 feeds a day then next week 1 feed a day and then 1 feed every couple of days, until they were totally weaned


  • my mum ended up using that stop nail bite stuff lol!! so cold turkey. he will take EBM from dad/day care girls, but not me. I guess ill keep trying and try to decrease feeds


  • i just wouldnt let my youngest latch on, hard i know. but i switched to a normal bra so clips couldnt be opened, i offered sippy cup instead, and it only took about 2 days before she stopped looking. I had suggestions of lemon juice on nipples, stickers covering and other things that would deter
