Hello!

Hi, I’m running out of inspiration for what dinners to prepare for my 14 month old! I would love to prepare some quick and easy toddler meals. Can you or any mums out there recommend some good (and quick and easy) toddler cook books please? Thanks!

  • Toasties are great, platters (Kabana, dip, crackers and veggies/fruit), pasta with tomato and basil sauce, omelettes, fritters and slices (zucchini and corn is good)

  • I think eggs are quick, easy, versatile things to cook. So many different ways to cook them

  • Whatever we ate was mashed. It could be potatoes, rice or pasta, any meat , vegies . If you are worried about oil etc, you could even just boil them and then mash it with a fork , but they may find it boring at a certain stage. Very easy and blends in with your meal routine .

  • Really interesting reading the comments given to this!

  • there are some good comments here

  • I don’t know of any toddler cook books but good to be trying what you are having (of course, depends on what you are having too). Easy to mash some of your veggies and try them on small amounts of soft meats.

  • how did it go for you?

  • Hope you manged to find some good meals.

  • Our daughter mainly has what we have now which is much easier – I just mash some of the veggies. She loves lasagne, pasta, just veggie mash on its own (different veggies kept separate helps), chicken mince and veg, eggs and she loves custard for dessert

  • I hope you managed to get some good ideas.

  • Pasta, vegies, sausages etc. :)

  • Chicken nugget, potato fritter, vegetable soup, tuna casserole also you can find more toddler recipe at baby-toddler-club.cokes.com.au

  • corn fritters, zucchini slice or risotto were always a hit in my house.

  • Some great suggestions below !

  • babble.com has awesome recipes from baby to teens!

  • maybe visit your local library for some free inspiration- or try taste.com or allrecipes.com :)

  • Hope you were able to solve the problem with so many useful answers

  • Cook and blend the same as what your having and cook a little extra for the freezer We sat our up at the table I. High chairs and they ate the same as us from the start never looked back no I was not silly and give curry. But everything else we ate I just threw in blender…. Or if they could not eat it. Steamed up veg which is very quick with a egg. And mashed this up… Yummy done…

  • Slow cooked casseroles and mince and pasta dishes freeze really well. Also great if you’re on a budget. Just make up a big batch when you can (eg weekend), add lots of veges into your recipes and freeze in small containers. Then take one out each night to defrost in the fridge to reheat for the following night’s dinner.

  • Quiche, or lots of vegies, or meat and rice or spaghetti or stew
