Hello!

Does anyone have any great ideas on what would go nicely with the yummy pan fried nicely seasoned salmon with a crispy skin or does anyone have any other ideas on how to cook something differently? That would be great, thank you ladies.

  • I love Salmon and use it alot! I do up some rice with spinach and asparagus for lunches, I put it on a pizza with roast veggies and love doing some boiled baby potatoes and steamed veg with it too!!!


  • I think some nice mash goes well with salmon.
    You coudl even do a nice salad or some steamed vegetables.
    Very nice and healthy.


  • I would serve crispy skinned salmon with a fresh and delicious Asian salad. Grated carrot, thinly sliced cabbage, thinly sliced green apple, sliced red onion, handful of cashews. Mixed with a dressing made from soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and olive oil. Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering. Toss some crispy fried noodles through salad too

  • Creamy mash and steamed veg, asian greens, michelle bridges asian marinated and chopped up in a stirfry (marinade has soy and a few other things in it – not sure if recipe is available unless you sign up but maybe try google)


  • Yes, lay the cooked salmon on a bed of cous cous with green beans. Or asparagus. Or even fried rice.

  • I guess it depends on what is in season and what you like. I like to have greens (asparagus, broccoli, beans) with my salmon.

  • I generally serve my salmon with steamed veggies and jacket potatoes or salad and chips. I have started using tins of salmon in fish cakes though as I love salmon but needed a different way to use it.


  • I serve my salmon with baby potato’s tossed in mint and butter, asparagus and salad YUM!

  • cucumber and chilli salad. or Asian noodle salad is great with salmon.


  • A pear, walnut & fetta salad with rocket is a great salad to serve with salmon. Some crunchy bread rolls or a garlic loaf on the side also.


  • The last time I cooked up pan fried salmon mmm crispy skin :) I did a side dish of sautéed asparagus dressed with garlic,butter and squeeze of lemon juice with steamed whole baby potatoes maybe a simple dish for some but it packed a delicious clump of tastiness for us .

  • Papaya & cucumber salad:1 green papaya,3 lebanese cucumbers,1/2 cup fresh mint leaves,1/4 cup greek yoghurt,1 lime juiced[2 tablespoons],2 teaspoons water,1 teaspoon brown sugar.Peel the papaya into long thin ribbons with a potatoe peeler,then finely shred and place in bowl.Peel the cucumber into long thin ribbons with a potato peeler,then add to the papaya with the mint.Combine the yogurt,2 tablespoons of lime juice,water and brown sugar in a screw top jar.Shake & pour dressing over salad.


  • I love my salmon with salad with celery and fresh greens or asparagus and steamed vegetables like broccolini. I also love oven baking my salmon and marinating it with lime and chilli. It’s delicious.
