  • It sounds like you think it is easier to be vegan. I eat a lot of vegan so maybe start off slow seeing if you like it or not, so the way I have my meals suites me and I’m was never a big meat eater. Have a look at the internet and try some recipes to see how you go.

  • With a vegan diet, to get enough nutrients daily it does require alot of prep work! So many products contain animal products so it’s also limited in products you can use.
In saying that, i enjoyed going vegan for some time before going back to vegetarian. I found my energy levels lower despite protein combining. It’s definitely doable tbough with some planning and maybe a meal prep day? Just be sure to read up on what nutrient breakdowns you need daily and be sure to include a wide range of foods 🙂

  • Hell no would it be easy. There’s alot of alternatives but they all taste terrible. Where suppost to be carnivores which we have always been that is why so many vegans need a Iron Supplement.

  • I’m curious as to the reason for switching to Vegan? I do see lots of vegan products at the supermarket now – not sure how they taste, they look great, but they may taste fabulous!

  • I’ve been vegan for 18 years and thankfully its so much easier now that it was when I first started. There are so many more great alternative products available now. I would recommend starting with a few good basic cookbooks. I love anything by Isa Moskowitz as her recipes are not overly complicated and use a lot of basic fresh ingredients.

  • I wouldn’t say it’s easy to start with. I have only gone completely vegan from the start of the year. I would suggest changing out meals one at a time. So I make spaghetti with TVP instead of mince. If you go slower and don’t be too hard on yourself if its easier to do what you know sometimes.

  • Our local deli and health store has a lot of products too and these places are well worth exploring.

  • My husband eats vegan. Given that the rest of the family doesn’t, it has been more difficult. However if the whole family goes vegan it is much easier. We substitute plant meat in his meals where possible. Most supermarkets have good quality and decent tasting plant meat these days.

  • Im finding the supermarkets are more accomdating these days too, with an increasing range of vegetarian and vegan options. Maybe go for a browse and see what takes your fancy.

  • I think it is. It depends on your reason for doing it and how you plan on still giving your children the nutrients etc they need – vegans also don’t wear leather, shells etc too

  • There are now plenty of places that offer food for particular diets and lots of research should help. Research online and via companies and also local suppliers.

  • Everything is hard to start but once you find your mojo it’s simple. My baby has a dairy allergy so I can’t have dairy as I’m breastfeeding. I’ve found vegan food is the easiest to ensure I can eat it and give some to bub as she is also allergic to egg. I thought it would be very limiting but there are so many options and so many simple things. If you do your research first try it for a week, reassess do another week, reassess and see if it fits.
