Let us know how you go with this – my husband is similar but has started to use a mouth guard which has made some difference. I also tend to poke him until he rolls on his side which also helps!
A few weeks ago my sister in law was diagnosed with serious sleep apnea and she was quite a loud snorer ( according to her husband ) . It was by sheer coincindence she decided to get tested as her father had some breathing issues and the next minute most of her siblings got officially diagnosed as well. I would see a doctor if it is that serious and they will carry out tests to determine cause .
My partner and I are only young couple and sleep in different rooms. I have ‘my’ room and he has the main bedroom. For me his snoring/sleep apnea was just keeping me awake and id be so tired and cranky by the end of the day, as well as getting up to a BF little one. Its the best thing I/we ever did. He didnt and probably still doesnt love the idea but hey! ‘happy wife happy life!’ oh i also booked my partner in to get a sleep study done so as he can see if that sleep apneo can be fixed…then ill have to give up my room.
Earplugs and wrapping the pillow round your head helps. Seriously if his snoring is that bad he may have sleep apnea which can be life threatening! Best if sees a doctor..
There are great benefits in separate rooms when snoring etc. is a problem.. you will get a good nights sleep and you will be much more relaxed.
I recall you asking about house guests in another post maybe if she hears hubby sounding like a steam train she might think twice about stopping over. lol.
All the very best to you both and if indeed you feel hubbies snoring is getting to be a health problem please encourage him to get checked out.
its important to have your husband talk to his GP about the snoring – it could be cured! If you are sleep deprived, it would be a good idea to have a bed in a quiet part of the house to retreat to. Hope this helps.
My hubby is a snorer and a teeth grinder :/ Makes sleep extremely hard at times. We are lucky to have a spare bedroom so if he wakes me with his night time noises, I just up and head to the spare room. Maybe not ideal, but at least I get some sleep and it doesn’t happen every night, so we spend some time together in same bed
