As I am now a empty nester and have just lost my dad this year and I am finding I am getting so bored and lonely now so where do I start any idea would be great thank you

  • It’s never too late to start something new! I decided to learn web development and put in the effort to grow my skills. Over time, I became a top specialist at one of the best companies. If you’re curious about top web development companies, you can find out here Taking that first step can change everything, no matter your age or background!

  • Yes, it’s true. It’s never too late to start something new.

  • never too late

  • Hi
As someone who has studied more than I haven’t I may be prejudiced but for every job I have had I have taken on study to improve my work skills. If asked to list hobbies I list Study and Cooking. But if it is any comfort to you my mum studied her early childhood diploma at the tender age of 68 she finished her diploma in teacher aiding the year before. She did it to keep me company while I was doing my Early Childhood diploma and Accounting studies. We enjoyed competing to see who would finish first. So get out there and get that study done and get that job you want there is no such thing a s too late while you’re still breathing!

  • It’s never too late to learn, ever. My mother and I did a Human Resources course when I was 42yrs old and she was 60yrs old I did it for my work and she just did it to better herself and she topped the class. Plus, I know a nurse that went back to nursing at 63yrs of age. There’s always something new we can learn and it’s never, ever too late.

  • I think you’re never too old to start something new. I’m 40 this year and am about to apply for uni myself!
I say go for it. Starting a new passion will give you a new joie de vivre.

  • its never to late to try something new. WEA courses are good to see if your ideas actually are of interest to you. Some libraries run courses, TAFE short courses, community centres. Doing a bit of volunteering or work experience can also be useful.

  • Never too late! The time will pass anyway and you’ll just be left wondering what might’ve been. Sometimes it’s the process of learning rather than the end outcome. Such a journey and coupled with a sense of achievement at the end. Go for it!

  • You are never too old to start something new. Life is about opportunities and learning. Take the plunge, you will never know otherwise. Good luck.

  • Definitely never to late! I am 31 and always feel like “what am I doing with my life” as I feel like being a mum has taken over and I’m stuck in a comfortable routine. So this year I have taken the leap and enrolled to study into a new field.

    Never to late!

  • Oh it’s never too late to start something new. Go for it and enjoy every second!

  • It’s never too late! I suggest trying a short adult education course – 8 weeks or so – this will give you a taste of the subject before you commit a lot of time or money.

  • The older I get, the more I keep wondering if I have left it too late to try new things. But I read in an article that Ray Kroc, who made McDonalds what it is today, only came across the business when he was 52 and Colonel Sanders founded KFC at 65! If these people can be so successful at trying new things at that age, then it is worth me trying anything new. You never know what will come out of it.

  • Its never too late !

  • I honestly believe that its never too late to start something new. I personally don’t know a lot about graphic design but “google” is your best friend to get some answers on where to start. See whats available online or in your area and then send some emails or make some phone calls… Good luck and have fun!

  • Never too old. If that’s what you would like to do, go for it.

  • You’re never too late to learn/do something new!
I wonder what tafe courses are around you and if any align with this interest,

I say go for it and good luck!

  • I’m your age and I say go for it. Age & life experience always puts you ahead of the game.

  • Never to old!
My grandfather always says he can’t get around as much physically but has to keep his mind busy to keep going.

  • Maybe look at some online groups and forums for graphic design information and links.
