  • all you need is the three B’s. butter, bacon & brussels sprouts.
dice your bacon fry up in butter and add steamed brussel sprouts

  • I like to roast them together with pumpkin and cashews, with a bit of salt, pepper and garlic.

  • All I do is score and steam them and they taste fine.

  • I love a lot of greens but just cant appreciate the bitter taste from brusells sprouts. Could you stirfry them with lots of garlic .

  • Jamie Oliver salutes them with bacon and garlic, delicious

  • Yes, cut in half and fry in a pan with bacon and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Thats the only way my husband will eat them

  • With garlic, bacon and a cream based sauce they are delicious

  • I cut them in half, wash them and put them in a bowl – cover with gradwrap and microwave them – they keep their bright green colour. and butter makes everything taste better!

  • Yes cook them quickly in boiling water and then toss in butter!

  • I chop them into halves or quarters (depending on the doze of the sprout) and sauté them with diced bacon and done garlic. Delish

  • Don’t overcook them, steaming is nice and everything is better with butter 😀

  • Love them done with onion and bacon! so does hubby and he used to hate sprouts!

  • NOOOOOOOOOO! hahaha these things were the worst when I was little and still now the thought makes me want to cry haha

  • I’m trying some of these ways.. I can’t stand them but my son loves to eat the stinky things

  • I love Brussels sprouts any old way, mmmmm. Hubby hates them, won’t touch them, so I just don’t dish them up,for him

  • Stir fry with bacon and soy sauce!

  • Boiling is definitely out!.LOL!!!

  • I love brussel sprouts! There are some good recipes in the recipes section on this site for delicious dishes using brussel sprouts. Happy searching.

  • My son tried these at a friends place and now wants me to cook them but both my husband and I dislike them (more than likely because we were given them boiled to within an inch of their lives as children) Might have to give the bacon and onion sauté a go

  • Don’t boil them. My husband hated them as he’d only ever had them boiled. I sliced them and sauteed with onion and bacon, served with homemade croutons and a sprinkle of parmesan and he couldn’t get enough.
