  • Thanks for all the answers. We want to get in early, but might do cupcakes and other food items if there is time. 🙂

  • Small jars filled with chocolates, lollies, marshmallows etc, and decorated with a ribbon.

  • I like a nice cup cake or three…
I could recommend making a really nice raspberry & white chocolate muffin & use cake making books to get inspiration for decorating (there are cupcake specific books) & then package them individually in clear cellophane with a pretty ribbon. Also a nice crafty homemade bookmark, coasters or the like are great.

  • What about put items in little bags. I buy them at the bargain stores and comes in different sizes and colours in sheer material for only $2-3 in bulk pack . You can put mini soaps, chocolates, stationary , jewerelly etc

  • Mum would love home made chuntney and jam at the Mother Day stalls.

  • Recipes in a jar are fun – eg: Cocoa, sugar and marshmallows layered in a jar with instructions on a hand made tag tied with ribbon.

The suggestions from other mums also sound great.

  • Hand made paper flowers in a vase, Mother’s Day Picture Frame, Easy children’s Recipe Book for Mother’s Day morning, breakfast, morning tea or lunch.

  • Framed quotes about ‘mum’, that you print and frame yourself, handmade bath salts or bath bombs, tye dye, dip dye or fabric paint stamped or stenciled tea towels.

  • What about some “Mother’s Day” picture frames?

  • little chocolate balls or truffles, candles, soaps with cute pics on them
