Hello!

I’m using the crawler size as of now. Would you recommend using nappy pants or nappies for the TODDLER size ?

  • For my daughter I used the nappy pants – more absorbent and gives baby more room to move etc.

  • We found our 3y/o went backwards with toilet training when we used nappy pants, as I think he got somewhat confused about the whole pullups/undies thing. Nappies are cheaper and easier to clean up, and there’s a definite difference between them and undies, which was super helpful for us with toilet training.

  • nappies works fine, but if you can afford them, try and see what works best

  • I find nappy pants more expensive with less in the packet. I only buy them now for my 2yo who only wears one overnight, never when they were babies.

  • I prefer nappy pants. I didn’t find that they leaked anymore then nappies, and my daughter could easily get out of nappies by tearing off the sides.

  • I trialled nappy pants with our kids but was not a fan. My kids would lie still while I changed them and even lift their bottoms up to be easier, so I didn’t need to worry about the convenience of pull up nappies. I also found nappy pants more likely to leak and horrible to clean them up if they had pooed. The only time I liked the pull up styles was as older children in the dry nights range (or similar brand).

  • I found nappy pants good during the day and leak at night because they don’t snug enough.

  • I agree with some of the other comments. Nappy Pants can be difficult and messy if they aren’t only wet so we have stuck to nappies. Overnight ones are often messy in this household. There is one type of nappy pants that have side openings that are easy to get off, but I don’t remember the brand. The openings aren’t obvious as they don’t do up like nappies do. At a quick glance they look like ordinary nappy pants. You simply just find the seams and pull them open.

  • I bought a box of nappy pants because my daughter is such a wriggler! BUT she is able to pull them off so easily, where as she hasn’t yet worked out the sticky nappy’s of the original nappy style!

  • I’d say it depends on your toddler. My daughter would still lie down so we could change her nappy for a while when she started on the toddler size but after a while she decided she didn’t want to lie down anymore but demanded that she be allowed to stand up. I find changing poos is easier if she’s lying down so if you can get going that way I’d say do it for as long as you can.
