Hello!

Hi, can you please ask the ladies if anyone had pelvic separation to the point they couldn’t walk in pregnancy and went on to have another pregnancy? If they did, did it come back at the same time/worse than the first time? Thanks.

  • I have had friends have this, thankfully I was lucky enough not to experience it. It sounds very painful. Having a baby sure takes it out of our bodies.

  • Would also like to no as I have sever hip and back probs since bubs

  • I had pelvic separation with both my pregnancies. The first time was painful but the second time was extremely bad. I ended up going to the hospital for fetal monitoring because they thought that the pain from it had caused me to go into early labor. I can say though that after I had my little (or not so little) boy within a week the pain had subsided quite a lot & now 5 months later it is gone completely.

  • My friend had it and had several successful pregnancies. It came back but with varying degrees of severity

  • That sounds quite painful to go through.

  • Gosh I hope it doesn’t come back any worse the second time around.

  • I hope you have found your answer

  • It hasn’t happened to me but I hope you find the answer you need.

  • I have just read the answer below and found that is what I had after the birth of my first baby, I tried the belt but couldn’t handle to have that much pressure, so I just had to live with it, but i went on to have 3 more kids although through c=section. and the last seems to be the worst for me, and every now and then I still experience the pain if I do certain things.

  • Ouch, that sounds terrible, I hope you found the answers you were after.

  • How are you going now. I hope my reply was useful.

  • How did it go Do seek medical advice

  • Sounds so painful Hope everything goes well for you Good Luck

  • Oh that does not sound very nice. Especially after reading a few comments.

  • I haven’t had this but you should talk to your doctor and see if you could have scans or x-rays done to assess the risks

  • Sounds painful. I had an undiagnosed pelvic pain after delivery my second child. Couldn’t walk without a walker for three weeks after delivery and couldn’t get in or out of bed on my own as I couldn’t lift my legs. Not sure if this is similar to what you are experiencing. Hopefully it resolves itself quickly for you.

  • I can’t help with this one unfortunately but it does sound really uncomfortable! poor thing!

  • Ouch!!! that must be pretty painful

  • I had some instability. but that must be awful for you.

  • Its bloody painful. I couldn’t even turn in my bed with out being in agony.
As soon as I gave birth the pain went.
I used to it with a pillow under my tummy and wheat bag helped to relieve the pain only a little bit.
I’ve only had one baby so I don’t know how you will go second time round. My doctor told me there was nothing I could do to avoid this the baby was growing and causing this problem. You could try the tummy belt you can get from the hospital that holds your tummy up. This is mainly used for back problems but could be just as helpful for this . Hope his helps.
