A few weeks ago, the weekly letter that my mother writes and sends to me from Victoria (I’m in Queensland) was ‘Returned to Sender’ as it was delivered to the wrong address. Now, my mother CLEARLY wrote my street address, it was just that Australia Post had delivered it to the wrong address (only a few streets over). Now, my question is this – if you had a letter that had obviously been delivered to the wrong address, would you ‘Return to Sender’, or just re-post or even hand deliver it yourself? I have hand delivered several letters that have made their way to my letterbox, even though they were not addressed to me, as has my mother. Are our actions the norm, or are we the exception?
