Hello!

I am in my 40’s & have recently lost a lot of weight & my skin is a little saggy in certain areas. I use bio oil however, wondering if any MoM’s know of anything else that could help. Do you know any products to help sagging skin?

  • Depending on where your sagging skin is, and how stretched it is. Also what type of complexion you have as to how quickly your skin will take up. Unfortunately for a lot of people who have lost a lot of weight surgery is sometimes an option. In my late 30’s I lost 44kg but didn’t have saggy skin ( unfortunately I put it back on after having my son), Have a friend in her early 20’s lost 55kg and needed an abdominoplasty. I would keep exercising and eat a healthy diet full of zinc Vit E and magnesium,..avocado ‘s etc. And wait a while before deciding. Don’t forget to do the PQS for under your chin. I looked after a 30 something year old woman who had a full body z-plasty many years ago. Hey well done on losing your weight, shape wear is great too 🙂

  • i would assume body wraps. never tried them. hope you don’t have to do anything drastic like surgery. p.s. congrats on the weight loss

  • I think body wraps work well for this but not sure

  • My friend who is 50 recently lost a lot of weight and sagging skin was a major problem for her. The only cure she was told was surgery 🙁

  • are you talking about on your face or over your body area?

  • Vitamin E cream is a miracle worker too!

  • Thank you ladies, I have heard of body wraps however, I am way underweight. My saggy areas are my breasts & stomach when I lean forward. I will investigate 🙂

  • I am 44 and have noticed the same (my neck in particular!) so will be following this with interest!

  • My friends have been telling me body wraps are the bomb!! They work better than anything else.. I am yet to try them, but maybe give it a go?

  • Body wraps should work – my sister sells them and can’t speak highly enough of them. You can find her if you search “Better Body Wrap” on facebook. Good luck! And good job losing the weight!

  • A friend of mine used the body wraps and had a lot of success with the loose skin from her baby belly

  • There is that wand you can use which tighens your skin – http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/skin-care/skin-care/dermawand.html

Or this cream which improves texture- http://www.elicina.com.au/pages/Products.html

Compressing your skin will help it a bit, like wearing support garments.

  • I have heard heaps of praise for bodywraps too

  • It will really depend on where the saggy areas are…I have heard good things about body wraps…I have also heard good things about Nutrimetics Firming Body Cream.
