Hello!

“Hi I was just wondering about posting a question on Mouths of Mums. I’d like to know if anyone has a great pedometer they use? I’ve had 2 – the first died and the second one, every time I sit down or lean over it resets itself and my step record disappears :( It’s SO frustrating coz I really want to do the 10000 step challenge. ” Do you have any recommendations for a pedometer?

  • I have 2 step counters. One my son bought me and one I won in a competition. I’m not sure of their brands. I’m currently using the one from my son. He paid approx $30 for it and it works brilliantly, no issues whatsoever and super easy to use

  • There are so many cheap ones around. They don’t last long but in my experience have latest as long as the more expensive ones. You can pick them up for around $2. I use an app to track my fitness, how far I run, walk, cycle etc but a pedometer is good to have on to keep those steps in check.

  • If you have a smart phone you can download a pedometer app.
    I have it & it’s fantastic!
I always have my phone on me, either in my pocket or my handbag, so it counts my daily steps & I keep track of not only my steps but how far I have walked in km &/or meters!
    I strongly recommend it :)

  • I have a fitbit and I love it. I love challenging other people to daily step goals.

  • You can get a pedometer app for your phone.. I’ve been told.. Haven’t got it myself..

  • did you find a suitable one, I believe they are all pretty much of a muchness

  • I have a fitbit and it’s fantastic!

  • I also purchased one from Big W, is pretty good and I have been doing more than my 10,000 steps!

  • i had a basic one too.. was ok but i ony used it for a month.

  • I had a basic one, worked ok, however I found it impossible to walk 10000 steps in a day. Now just walk to suit me, less frustrated.

  • Hope this has been resolved for you. I got mine from Big W.

  • Try your local sports store and they can put you in the right direction

  • Good on u for setting this challenge

  • The fitbit ones sounds fantastic

  • I’m looking for a good one to, so far my experiences with pedometers have been dismal!

  • That’s so annoying. Hope someone can help u

  • I got one of the FitBit zips MoM offered one month. I’m really happy with it! Its very discreet and never switches off.

  • Even go into a sports shop and ask what they recommend good luck and I hope you find the right one for you ;)

  • Sportline is meant to be good

  • I bought one from rebel sport, it cost $20 & was fantastic until I took it into beach with me, I’ve never heard of Filbrit though :)
