Contact your local or nearest migrant resource center, they will be able to offer information and assistance to your friend. St Vincent de Paul Society may also be of assistance. Your friend is fortunate to have your friendship.

Does she have access to health centres? They will be able to find a counsellor for her.

tell her to look for immigrant groups that will help her adjust, she shouldn’t need relationship counselling unless this is suffering also. there should be a lot of support groups for her if she looks around

Relationships Australia, Salvation Amy and Lifeline offer counselling help. If she can explain her circumstances then they are open to waiving the fees off or can work out other arrangements.

Counselling Australia should be able to help you out. Do a google search

maybe giving centrelink a call. They might be able to give some names and numbers, or a local community centre

Have you checked out relationships Australia? I know they are in Vic and assume they are elsewhere??

have you tried family relationships? 1800 050 321, government funded if you ring them they can refer you to an established centre in their location and perhaps give referrals to the appropriate services.

i would have a look online for community groups in her area as there is lots of help out there she might be able to have a look also a facebook groups with people from south africa who have come to Australia ect and it might help her feel a little closer to home also especially if they are living in her area
