Hello!

I use a lint brush but still find it difficult to remove from all clothes. Is there any method to prevent lint sticking on clothes while washing or after washing? Thanks

  • I have recently got a new washing machine and find the lint catcher isn’t as good as my previous washer, it’s driving me nuts still have lint and fluff on my clothes. Will have a read at the answers now and see if I can get any tips

  • my mum uses lint balls and they’re good

  • There is a greasy lint, you can go for it. I have had to major burns and that is what the Dr used on my burns.

  • I have heard the lint balls work wonders in the wash! i am yet to try them out.

  • I also use the lint balls in our machine and they work great. I got them through avon a few years ago.

  • I’ve got to try these lint balls, I keep hearing that they are a great solution for lint.

  • Lint balls work well. They are about the size of a golf ball and green and pink. I think Kmart sell them.

  • I use my dryer as well, perfect solution.

  • I totally agree with Mel1, my old machine trapped lint in the filter heaps, my new machine’s filter looks pristine but there is always lint on the clothes, no matter how careful I am at keeping towels etc separate. It is so annoying the amount of time I spend using a brush to remove lint from clothes. The dryer does catch the lint in its filter however I prefer to line dry our clothes, HELP! Ideas appreciated.

  • Into the dryer.

  • Make sure to keep your lint trap empty and wash fluffy or fuzzy items seperately.

  • I use my dryer, it’s fabulous for getting rid of lint 😀

  • That is exactly what I do, (as previously commented by KATE53) my only way is to put them in the dryer and then everything is removed. I have tried other methods but have found this to be the best.

  • My front loader is shit for taking off lint, my dryer on the other hand is wonderful. If something wont wash off, I throw it in the dryer.

  • The $2 dollar shop has the sticky rollers that work at treat. ( I think normally for removing cat and dog hair from the couch etc)

  • I use a little lint brush which is great. or if a large area the tumble dryer is sometimes good at extracting it.

  • I hate lint on clothes but not as bad as that good old tissue left in the pocket and you take out your clothes to find that its full of little pieces of paper Ahhh

  • Following, I find the only thing that’s worked for me is lint brush.

  • I’m following your post, I always have lint problems and had not found a solution.

  • I found that I had to make sure nothing was washed with different materials to help stop this
