Buy a good commercial carpet stain remover and scrub. Then if you don’t have a carpet cleaner, use a steam mop over the area and repeat. Good luck!

thanks hopefullyheidi, I will be using your ideas. I have been trying sard wonder soap and stain remover, but it just doesn’t budge.

I would use the Preen carpet stain remover

Stain remover and a really good scrub, but I dont like your chances. Ring your carpet place and ask them as they would have some ideas depending what your carpet is. Why were you kissing the carpet with lipstick? lol

First check and see what your carpet is made from.
If it is a wool carpet you can try wool cleaner from the laundry section of the supermarket.

You could always try bicarb soda and vinegar. I have used Pullman Spray on stain remover which is available from Godfreys. I also have light carpet and got desperate after hours and went and bought a couple of spray on stain removers after a coffee accident from Safeway. The brands I bought were Safeway Select Cleaner and the other one was called Carpet Power. I used bicarb and vinegar and rinsed that off and followed that with the carpet cleaner I bought. I usually have a bissell carpet cleaning machine, which is fantastic but I loaned it out at the time as luck would have it. Hope this helps.
