Just wondering whether other Mums get more success with Salad or Vegetables? And any tips on making them appealing to kids and a hubby who ‘hates anything green’?!!

  • We used to have more fresh salads then cooked veg as my youngest refuses to eat cooked veggies.

  • I’m still not much of a fan of salads. Usually more expensive and less filling than veggies. If I have salad it’s drowned in dressing to make it palatable. For me, cooked veggies are healthier.

  • Cooked veggies. I don’t really like salads. I find it seems like you chew the salad forever and still hungry. I find cooked vegetables are more filling.

  • My kids hate salad. They prefer cooked veg, mainly in things like stir frys and quiches are good to hide them in lol.

  • My eldest daughter likes everything raw, my middle daughter will eat both, my son likes cooked veggies and my toddler chops and changes daily… its so frustrating trying to cook something that everyone will eat haha

  • Depends on the weather – salads when it’s hot and veggies when it’s cold.

  • Salad in Summer
Steamed or Roasted Veggies in Winter
    Either in between. :-)

  • Veggies. I usually hide it in my cooking. Eg: I puree broccoli and add it to my pasta sauce. My daughter doesnt even taste it

  • During summer we love our salads with some meat. Will occasionally mix it up with vegetables. Hubby will eat either.

  • My kids like a variety of both. Our “salad” for kids though is carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, cheese sticks and beetroot. Something about stick form makes it more appealing

  • I like salad and greens but my daughter is more fussy.

  • I love my salads could have them for breakfast lunch and dinner

  • We eat both, but love salads more because they energize me, I have a huge one for lunch each day and a light meal for dinner.

  • I prefers salads, my kids except my youngest eat both

  • My miss 4 loves both salad and veggies,
    However mr 10 prefers salad.

  • The only way to get them to eat anything green is to disguise it. We prefer salads at lunch and veges at dinner time

  • More cooked veg with us

  • hi I am a single over 60 and just try the salad kits was amazing tasty no waste would I buy this salad again yes just the thing for any one on the own . for lunches . just love this salad kit

  • At this time of the year salads just as cooking makes the house too hot and you can’t enjoy
