we have used mortein outside surface spray and it worked which comr to think of it we are due again

We get the outside of our house sprayed by a professional sprayer once a year – it seems to keep them down. But I also go around removing any webs, and get rid of any tiny spiders when they hatch.

Do a scary dance lol. Nah in all seriousness spray the edges outside your house with Baygon.

I don’t know if you can scare them off but maybe try getting rid of their webs when you find them? might mean they make a web somewhere else, preferably outside!

You can’t really prevent them coming in. I too hate spiders and my friend showed me how to get rid of them without touching them. She vacuums them up and while the vac is still going she sprays fly/insect spray down the nozzle. Waits a few mins and dead spider :-).hope this helps

All i can reccomend is to avoid keeping things in places they might hide in!

Have a quiet chat with them and ask them to move!

Get a spray bottle with some lemon and dishwashing detergent and spray around house you could try this as I heard they don’t like lemon and this is a more natural way, I haven’t tried this and only knew of one person that use to do this around her home

check to see that there are no nests if you are having a lot.

We usually spray outdoor surface spray around all windows and door frames (on the outside) at the start of summer. Seems to help, I think we have less spiders inside since doing this.

Get a Pest Control company to spray your perimeter. I think you have to get it done every year, but at least you get no spiders for the Summer season! 🙂

Only using pest spray but that involves killing them

I have 2 ducks & a chook & havnt had a spider inside my house since i got them… ( touch wood lol )

Someone told me that some trees attract spiders so maybe check out if you have trees around your house which are happy spider houses (I think it was that huntsmen spiders like gum trees). Aside from that barrier spray around the perimeter and windows.

I’ve heard they don’t like peppermint oil.

Ive heard peppermint oil mixed with water sprayed around door frames etc works

You can get a device from the hardware store that emits a special frequency which stops bugs and spiders. That or perimeter spray to stop them getting in.
