Hello!

We are moving to QLD either at the end of this year or early next year. I have a child who is currently in grade 1, and 2 other children that will enter prep in 2015 and 2017. We are looking to move to the Karalee/Karana Downs area and would like some advice on schools. Has anyone got any feedback that they would like to share with me on the Karalee state school and also the Mt Crosby state school, both good and bad? Also what about high schools as I really need to start thinking about this as well. As far as I am aware the only state high schools that this area can feed to are Ipswich state high school as Kenmore is zoned if I have been given the correct info. Private schools are West Moreton and Peter Clavier that I have been told so if anyone has feedback on either of those private schools for highschool that would be fantastic. Although I have found out the above info by ringing info centres and schools I am really after feedback and reviews on schools in that area as choosing a school is so hard.

  • Mount Crosby is a fantastic school, i send my two there in my experience the staff are beautiful and wonderful. my son had open heart surgery at the start of prep and his teacher visited him in hospital on her weekends, called to see how he was and offered to catch up on weekends when he was up to it so he didnt fall behind (not in a pushy way in an understanding way) etc i know not all teachers would do that. we involved his class about the surgery and emailed photos etc (so they knew when he got back to school why he was on restrictions and now there are 20 little kids more aware of CCHD). in my experience the staff have always gone above and beyond my expectations. i hope i could be of some help

  • Check out the myschools website, and websites for each of the schools you are interested in. Googling them can often bring up other discussions people have already had about the schools. If you can, ask people who live in the area for their opinions, and as soon as you move check out each of the schools for yourself.

  • Best of Luck in your search

  • Hope mums are able to help u here
