  • Apart from poking him every time he rolls onto his back and gets into ‘snoring’ position, try sewing a ping pong ball into the back of his PJ’s. When he try to roll onto his back, it will be very uncomfortable!

  • If snoring hubby wakes me up, I head off to the spare room for the night

  • Honestly, my hubby sounds like a freight train. I do everything – push him, try to roll him over, give a gentle (cough, cough) nudge – whatever it takes to try to stop the noise. He doesn’t think his snoring needs investigating because he thinks he doesn’t snore. No wonder I can’t sleep.

  • I know a couple of racing car drivers that put tape across the bridge of their nose as it makes it easier for them to breathe air considering their helmets tend to restrict clear air flow.
Have you noticed whether or not your husband momentarily stops breathing or not?. It may only be for a few seconds. Your husband may have sleep apnoea or even obstructive sleep apnoea. I hired a machine from a chemist to use overnight which records your sleep pattern. We can actually momentarily wake up and not realise it too. They send it to a sleep laboratory to be analysed then send the results back to the pharmacy. The pharmacy re-uses the mask after soaking it in a strong anti-bacterial solution. When I hired one I could smell the solution for a little while

  • I just hip and shoulder my husband when he gets too bad so that he rolls over and its normally enough to stop him for a while. (I know I’m pretty lucky as he could be much worse!)

  • I would love to know tooo
I have the same problem ???????????????????????????? it’s so hard when your a light sleeper too

  • He needs to be checked out by a doctor to ensure he is not suffering from sleep apnea. This is a serious condition that is often accompanied by snoring. He will probably need to do a sleep study to find out whether he does or doesn’t have it. If he does he will probably need a CPAP machine which will eliminate his snoring but does take some time to get used to it.

  • try a better pillow too :)

  • Ask him to roll over onto his side. I do that with my husband and it works.

  • A chemist may also be able to assist with advice and techniques for managing snoring.

  • I find that the snoring occurs when they are lying on their back … try a gentle nudge or push to make him turn onto his side! Not the answer long term but will help short term. Also try one of the long pillows/cushions that will make him stay on his side. Apart from that, a trip to the GP will give you more ideas moving forward.

  • Maybe seek advice from a GP?

  • Put him in another room. Best thing I did

  • Kick him!…lol

  • Kick him to the couch. My partner snores and it’s horrible. I can’t stand being in bed with him

  • Earplugs for you

  • Did you try kicking ????
Anyway usually the strips help a lot
There’s different kind and if it’s really bad maybe see a dr in case it’s something serious which often people ignore

  • Mine has used strips from chemist warehouse that open the nasal passages and helps him not snore so much

  • They sell nose clips at the pharmacy. You could let him try them. Maybe they help.

  • Get him to roll over. Sometimes, to be honest, I just go sleep elsewhere.
