Hello!

My cats are too scared to go outside because this cat come onto our acre and attacks 2 out of 3 cats. How do i stop a neighbours cat from attacking my cats?

  • spray it with water. Each time it comes onto your property spray it or complain to the council the can request the owner to keep the cat inside

  • hope you resolve this problem 🙂

  • Love the hose idea! Hope they go away soon!

  • Make it disappear….or most likely you will need to build a big outdoor cat area. Or get a big dog that hates cats and lock yours inside for a few nights until the cat decides that is too dangerous to come onto your area or the dog eats it.

  • High powered water pistols work well. Quicker than a hose if you have it ready outside!

  • cats hate being hosed, our cat would climb the screen door ripping it, so we thew some water at him and he stopped doing it. Same with the garden, he wouldn’t go near the hose. You may need to set up a sprinkler hose and just turn it on when you see him. Doesn’t harm them but deters them as they hate being wet.

  • I’ve heard that you can make a mix of water and white vinegar and spray it around the perimeter of your property and cats can’t stand the smell so they don’t walk over it

  • Many Local councils now lend cat traps for nusisance cats.

  • I would meet with the neighbour and say we have a problem with our cats. Ask her for some help here.
Our cats seem to be fighting. Maybe together you could come up with a plan. Ask her/him if they are happy
to have their cat visit yours and get them to be friends and visa-versa. Both of you supervise in case of a fight for the first couple of visits, usually they will settle down after a few hisses and swipes. There will always be hierarchy in the cat world. You could spray some lemon scented spray around your boundaries if your neighbour is not happy to work out this problem.

  • This Is A Hard One As Cats Roam So Much, You Could Tell Your Neighbors And See If They Can Stop Out Coming Over, Or If They Don’t Help Maybe Catch It And Take It To the Pound?? Good Luck With It
