  • I use this website, taste.com.au and RecipeTin! Some fab recipes on all of these!

  • Have you looked at the 4 ingredients or less website. There’s some great recipes on there and less ingredients less cost ( most of the time )

  • If you go through all the wonderful recipes on Mouthsofmums you will find alot of good budget ones!

  • This website is amazing! I have been using it by searching what ingredients I do have. Otherwise meal plan and Google your ingredients.

  • I was going to ask this great ideas thanks everyone for sharing

  • I just start typing out the ingredients I want to use and it usually comes up with good recipes

  • Try taste.com.au you can filter results for the super food ideas recipes that are cheap to prepare. Also try the free magazine from coles and woolworths

  • Try RecipeTin website. Has a great 14 day meal plan with items usually kept in the cupboard

  • I normally use taste or I type in google meals on a budget. Unfortunately my lot is the most fussiest of eaters that they only eat the same thing over and over again.

  • Personally I go to facebook and look at the different recipe pages on there, sometimes it is a pain as we can’t access some ingredients here but it is great for variety, also there are recipes on this site that are awesome!

  • I always use taste.com.au. There is also https://www.4ingredients.com.au/recipes which has recipes that have 4 ingredients mainly of which you would have at home.

  • Taste.com is a really good site for recipes of all ranges, from easy to hard, to simple to complicated. Its always my go to. Frozen veggies, are a great way though to get nutrition into a meal at a lower cost.

  • I have found Allrecipes.com.au to be my pick but make sure it is the Australian site with au as measurements can be very frustrating from other Countries,Cheer’s Krusty.

  • love typing in ‘3 or 4 ingredient recipes’ in to the search engines as they then tend to be cheap and relatively easy.

  • Recipetineats.com has great simple recipes on a budget

  • MOCK FISH: Grate potato.Squeeze out the extra water if any. ( (I like the red skins.. not squeezing and good crisp). Mix in a whole egg (one for each med/large potato) and a pinch of salt. Fry until golden (preferably in an old that takes a really hot heat, like peanut or macadamia or rice bran). I flatten them with the spatula so they are thin and cook right through. Serve with a green salad and it is a perfect meal that kids love.
NB: You can add zucchini etc but will not get them as crispy. Still good though.

  • I tend to just google the ingredients I have on hand and see what pops up. I’m not limited then

  • I like 4 ingredients and taste

  • There’s lots of budget friendly food ideas at thethriftyissue.com.au

  • Although this is not just a recipe site Simplesavings.com.au have a $21 challenge (which I have done a couple of times) which is a great way to save money on the food bill. The site has lots of other tips and tricks for reducing spending.
