Like everything there are risks in life and the risks are small.
We are lucky to live in a first-world country where we have eradicated most of these horrible diseases due to vaccinations. Ironically, this also gives us a false sense of security of the risks of not vaccinating and the luxury to question it.

I am for immunization and I am so grateful to read all these mums answers also saying they are for it as well. certain diseases have been eradicated from immunizations. the doctor that said it causes autism has been disproven and disbarred years ago.

Immunisation is necessary. It scares me to know there are parents not vaccinating their children.

Definitely for it. The tgeory that your immunised child isn’t in danger from an unimmunised child may be true in the short term, but in the lng term if there’s lots of unimmunised kids around, the will eventually outnumber the immunised kids. Then they are all in danger

I’m all for immunisation. I would be too scared not to immunise.

For…..if you don’t immunise then that spreads diseases even more. I wouldn’t even risk not immunising my children as I couldn’t bare it if they were infected with one of those deadly dieseases especially the dreaded whooping cough that is going around.

Definitely for. Many countries would like to have eradicated the diseases we have and have the option to immunise. Anyone who has seen a picture or heard a story from someone who has suffered polio, measles or other like disease wouldn’t question it. The benefits far out weigh the risks

It depends, I have never been immunised, and don’t get sick very often. But then I tend to use homoeopathy medicine.
My daughter is immunised, but that is mainly due to how harsh Australia can be if you don’t.
IT IS A CHOICE. If you child is immunised the cant get sick from an unimmunised child.

immunisation all the way, speak to someone who has looked after a newborn with whooping cough, or lost a child from whooping cough or measles, most anti vax information is based on one research paper which was discredited, I even had my children immunised for HIB when it was not free and cost me about $1000, but a friend had lost a baby with it at the same time, fortunately the government now provide all these for free, but each to their own but if you choose to not vaccinate your children please do not allow them near mine.

Always controversial this question. The association between MMR and Autism has been long withdrawn. There is no good reason not to immunise. Yes, it will be painful but much less painful than contracting the disease that the vaccination is to prevent. No one should die from a preventable disease but it still happens.

For. 5 kids. Not an option. I do not want my kids around non immunised kids either (if I’m aware of it) their choice not to, my choice not to risk my own.

These diseases have not gone away they are just under control until enough simpletons refuse to immunise and they will show their ugly heads again. Beware of what you do for your own children and mine.

I am for immunisation and it is really important that we protect our children. however, I do not agree that immunising newborns babies is perhaps the best thing. it can be harmful for the baby to have such a strong dose of anything at such a young age when they need all their strength for those first few months of their life. I think it would be good for the immunisation started at 12 months and not before to give their bodies the chance of developing their own defences before we jab them with extra germs they need to fight.

Definetly for immunisation. It reduces the risk of serious illness. It is vital to ensure the overall health and wellbeing for children. It does not mean they may not still get the illnesses but they’re likelihood to recover will be greater. We just need to look at third world countries that don’t have access to immunisation and vaccinations to see what kind of diseases our children could be suffering through.

For! I’m very greatful that I live in a country that provides us with free immunisations alothough I understand it’s not ideal for everyone
