Oh my what an awful mess!
Pour some dishwashing detergent on it & give it a good scrub!
Place some paper towel over it & let it dry & it should come up good as new.

Thanks for everyone’s ideas. There are new stains now so I can put the new suggestions into practice.

Cleaning dog shits is really a mess you can use these tips for cleaning recommended by
residential carpet cleaning Denver dilute the spot immediately with baking soda and water or with club soda. Apply a solution of 1 part ammonia and 10 parts water. Rinse with cold water, let dry, and then vacuum.

You could try Orange Power Carpet Spray. I have to confess I haven’t tried it yet.
if it is as good as getting it out of toddler’s underwear using Orange Power Prewash Stain Removal Spray it should work perfectly. I used the clothing one on dark coloured clothing and it didn’t bleach it at all. I have got stains out of clothes that have been washed once before I used the spray. I just sprayed it one, gave it a quick rub and if it was a bad stain, put it in a bucket of water for awhile and you may find the mark has already disappeared before you put in the washing machine. On a couple of occasions I have rinsed clothes thoroughly and hung them out to dry, especially if I am not doing other washing.

I had a neighbours dog visit and leave me with a mess of diarrhea. After removing any excess i could with a paper towel and spraying with vinegar and dabbing it off I poured a mountain of bicarb soda onto it (also gets rid of that lovely smell), I left that for a fair few hours until completely dry then vacuumed away the powder. From there I used cold water with a little dishwashing liquid and a throw away sponge to dampen the carpet and then work from the outside into the middle of the stain. Almost all was gone and I let the carpet once again dry then sprayed some Carpet Power onto it, left for 5 minutes then used a paper towel to wipe off and Hazaar no more stain on my lovely cream carpet!

Napisan, scrub clean, then febreeze sprayed on to get rid of the smell

No i can’t afford the professionals atm but thanks for all the other ideas MoM’s.

If you can afford it, I’d call the professionals.

In the future if (when) it happens again, first wipe the excess away and then poor soda water on it, somehow the soda water gets the stain right out. It has worked for year with cat vomit.

I’d recommend the bi-carb soda idea, that’ll help take the smell out also. Good luck!

When my carpet is stained I pour small quantity of undiluted liquid DISH WASHER liquid directly onto stain and gently work into stain and leave for 5-10 minutes, longer if stain is very severe, then gently remove with warm water. Then I use my steam mop with fabric cloth removed, so only metal plate is exposed. I work it over the stain until I think it has been removed. If stain is still slightly present after it has dried I repeat this again. Never had to do it more than twice. Good luck.

Make a paste of bi-carb soda and lemon juice, apply to area, allow to dry and vacuum excess up and dab area with damp sponge.

Yep dishwashing liquid would be fine on light coloured carpet I would say. Thanks.

wow just use dishwashing liquid, water and paper towels. i don’t know how that works on light carpet though. good luck

Thanks guys I will give some of these a go as I tried carpet foam and it just mooshed it all in everywhere. So not happy with the teenager that locked the dog in that room all night. :/

Warm water, small drop detergent & dash of white vinegar in ice cream size container. Scrub with scrubbing brush & use old towel over top & walk over & over to soak up stain. With light coloured carpet may have to do again.

I’m so glad you asked this. My little dog did a brown vomit last night on our light carpet!

After wiping up what you can, sprinkle with dry sodium bicarbonate, leave a while and vacuum off then wash off with warm water to which Amway LOC cleaner has been added or Wool Wash. Wash in the direction from outside of the stain to the center. Use several cloths or sponges. Rinse each time and continue until the stain is gone. You may like to contact an industrial carpet cleaning agency and ask their advice.
