  • putting a cheerio of petal in the bowl and getting him to have a go at ‘SINKING’ it with his wee.
Definitely not applying any stress or pressure is certainly key and keeping in mind that they do get there eventually.

  • Use ping pong balls or really cheap cereal (fruit loops, cheerios etc) as wee targets in the toilet. Add a couple of drops of blue food colouring in the toilet. It’s supposed to turn green when wee hits it.

  • I have downloaded a rewards chart from online for toilet training, have a search online for them.

  • Wanted to know aswell, thanks for posting.

  • We used to have a jar of lollies and for each time she did a poo in the toilet she got a lollie and each time she did a wee, she got a sticker to put onto her chart and at the end of the chart/row she got a little surprise.

  • Hope it all goes well! Will be starting soon with my baby and I’m a bit nervous about the whole process.

  • This may be a difficult time if he is reluctant

  • Hope your toilet training journey goes smoothly

  • Wear jocks that are his fav character n say u don’t want to get ‘character’ wet!

  • Let him choose some jocks in the shop and put him in them whenever you’re at home. Have a toilet training chart and explain to him how it works. If he pees in the potty/ toilet he gets a star/ sticker. If he has an accident encourage him to go and sit on the potty/ toilet. My kids each have a toilet training book that I read to them over and over. Get him to sit on the potty at times you know he’d usually have to pee, like first thing in the morning, after a nap, after a big drink of water. Looking through or reading a book with him while hes sitting on the pot can also help
