This is a sensory issues. Dont blame him.

I trained my first child at 2 1/2 and my second at 3.Don’t be in too much of a hurry.Maybe give it a break for a few months and try again.My 3 year old trained within a few days,the older they are the more they understand ,making for less accidents.

I usually take my kids to the toilet and stop drinks at 7pm and before they go to bed.

You can give in to his demands & continue with the nappy (and hope that eventually he’ll get tired of wearing them), you can take a stand & say “No more nappies, big boys use the toilet” (and try & deal with any tantrums & accidents), or you can combine the two and have nappies at night, and encourage the toilet during the day. By trying to not make a big deal of it, you may find that you have more success than if you make a drama out of it. Depends on your parenting style, and how stubborn your son is. I wish you luck.

You need to make him see it’s normal. Take him to the toilet with you and let him watch you go, the same with dad. Then you show him it isn’t scary.

I had a lot of trouble toilet tranning my 2 1/2 year old little girl. But after taking her to the toilet with me every time I went, doing a stiker chart and watching a kids dvd about toilet training she finally has started to go to the toilet on her own.
He is only 2 dont stress your self out to much I promise he will do it when he is ready

Hmm have you thought about just putting some jocks on him and seeing how he goes with them first ??
Maybe just say to him that you have run out of nappies for him (make you you hide them all) and just get him to see the potty and just try doing a wee on it first.
