$2 for the first tooth $1 for everything after that.

The rate went up as the child got older! First teeth attracted some meager amounts like 10c (when they hardly knew what money was and were more excited to find a tiny box with some glitter, sparkley paper etc… coin was almost secondary) and went up to reach about 50c as they grew up…. the last few are on their way out now. I think there might be a HUGE splurge of $5 (since hubby said that was what someone at work gave their kid. I thought that was way too much to start out with).
