Glad to hear everyone is doing well, what a stressful time

Great to hear Mum and Bub are going well. Stressful when things don’t go to plan but happy to hear everything worked out well in the end.

The baby was born a few days before the question was posted.
Baby was on breathing tubes for the first few hours then got taken off because the breathing improved extremely well. Baby will be in nicu for a few weeks but we got to go in and visit, just couldn’t take kids in.
Both mum and bub are doing good.

I’ve only heard about it happening and that’s that it’s very dangerous, it opens the womb up to infection

They usually just have full bed rest and nonstop fluids you can still go full term. 34 weeks is the magic number for bubs lungs but once you are steroid (can’t remember the name of it) current they don’t worry so much about the lungs or giving birth early. Sorry don’t know current visitor restrictions. Hope it all goes well.

The best will be calling hospital and ask about restrictions as its changing all the time.good luck to your sil
