  • We did a lot of drawing, painting, recycle craft, puzzles, building a hut using furniture and bed sheets, obstacle courses, insect observation box, reading books, visiting the library, visiting indoor play grounds

  • Puzzles, arts and crafts, dance party

  • craft, goop, cardboard box creations, indoor obstacle course. cubby house with chairs and sheets.

  • We set the shed up, use a heater and then can do most things the same. Use the blower to get rid of the sand or whatever they play with

  • Colouring, play dough, inside blanket fort, duplo, singing to abc listen, cooking, treasure hunt, indoor obstacle course

  • I used to love walks in the rain, splashing through puddles and breathing in that gorgeous rain scent. Obviously not every day, but doable occasionally

  • We love the Library. Always new activities there too.

  • We like to do lots of arts and crafts during winter so we limit them during summer. Our child is current in to those “that’s not my” books, so we recently created our own. We gathered things around the house we could glue in the book. I printed the pages and we coloured and decorated them. We’ve read this book every night for a week now, he loves it

  • My twins love stencils at the moment. Or play doh.

  • We have a wetroom in our house and we let out 16 MO go mad in there wth the heater on

  • Sensory activities are always a winner and so educational and entertaining (rice, water, oats etc.)
Get the child to help in the kitchen as well.
There’s a drawing mat at Kmart that I highly recommend for that age. It keeps them busy for ages. Keeps your little one busy for a while.

  • we play board games before bed

  • Wh go out in the backyard when it’s warm enough otherwise we do fun stuff inside like arts and crafts, reading books, watching a movie together to relax, playing with his trucks etc he also likes to help

  • Such a hard time of the year. We have a huge activities box which is solely used for horrible weather inside days. Its never used for any other days so it’s always new to them. Filled with arts and crafts, puzzles, playdough, coloured rice etc. Sometimes we lay down a couple of large towels and have warm water play inside. Building fortes is always fun too. Lots of music and dancing also.

  • Barbies, dolls, shops, cooking in her kitchen and having her serve us tea and food.
I also like to have her help in the kitchen either baking specifically or helping with dinner. Miss 4yo iikes to have jobs to do when I’m cooking (taking it while i can get it!!) so I get her to set the table, stir this or peel that. She also loves craft and drawing, a quick google normally gives me some sort of inspo. The right TV shows can be inspiring, also if you have a smart tv you could google kids yoga on youtube, always a favourite here.

  • Besides indoor craft or sensory activities (painting, play dough, etc), build a tent/cubby house/fort, go outside for a walk to collect or play in the leaves (or put the gum boots on and splash in some puddles), libraries have story times for littlest.

  • As long as you rug up it’s still great to be outside. Collecting leaves in a small bucket can be fun. Making patterns with pebbles, or just lining them up. Invest in a good sandpit – they LOVE this. And when it rains put on gumboots, waterproof pants and go and jump in puddles !

  • Have a selection of activities like drawing or craft you can do inside.

  • Playgroups
    Parks
Indoor play areas with toddler area
    Craft
    Playdough
    Painting
    Sensory activities
    Library
See what the community has to offer.

  • We bring the outdoors indoors. A little tent can be set up inside and it is a good opportunity for pretend play.
