  • Organic coconut oil, I swear by it

  • I use body butters from the bodyshop

  • Nivea has a moisterur for dry skin which is excellent and very affordable!

  • Also drink plenty of water along with the Vitamin E cream.

  • I find Aveeno is quite good

  • I use Nivea Moisturiser with sunscreen in it. It is fragrance free – doesn’t effect hayfever or asthma in my family and circle of friends.
If I venture outdoors for a few minutes in reasonable weather it is enough to protect my senstive fair skin.
On occasions I have used Avon Hand Cream. It has more moistruiser in it than the body one and was actually recommended to me by an Avon lady.
Another one I have used is Redwin Sorbelene Moisturiser which as Vitamin E in it. Heating dries skin terribly. I find gas heating is the worst. I have a suggestion which I find helps a little. Find somewhere safe to put an open container of water. You will notice it gradually evaporates. A cousin of mine had a gas heater fitted into what used to be a fireplace and chimney. If I went there for a couple of hours I always got a sore throat a few hours later. When I found out about the water theory she decided to try it. She put a vase of water on her mantlepiece. I did the same thing in a small room at home which had a small electric heater – on a high window ledge out of reach oif little fingers. My water gradually evaporated too. It may not be a lot of help to your skin but the air in the room is getting some moisture, but you can’t feel it.

  • I use skin juice.
It’s smell nice and really gives my face an extra boost by hydrating and soaking in It’s not to bad price either.

  • Good old, reliable and cheap Vitamin E cream – always works.

  • I like baby oil for my legs!
Coconut oil for my hands and hair.

  • After a shower or bath when your skin is still warm, try olive oil, it absorbes well and beleive it or not it actually works. It is also cheap to use.

  • Same as in summer… a variety of moisturing creams with vitamins. Also try not to wash face much to prevent oils washing away. And eat lots of walnuts – just a few per week is meant to help skin.
