Bonjela teething gel can be a big help. Worth trying.

Bonjela and teething medicines but they all contain something unsavory ie alcohol, herbs nicknamed deadly nightshade, ask your pharmacy and make the decision you feel is best. Some people put bananas in the freezer and give them to bub to gnaw on

I would use my fingers to gently massage his gums, when he started eating solids yoghurt was great cause it was nice and cold

Some babies like a teaspoon to chew on, as they are cold on their gums. It depends on the age of your baby. Some babies basically “chew” on them.

Our Womens and Childrens hospital has a teething gel in the pharmacy that is a lot stronger than bonjela, I used it on my daughter but my son would not have a bar of it. I find Nurofen for children lasts longer, also I would wet a face washer and freeze it and he would sit and chew on it. Lastly for when we were out and I could not give him a face washer I bought a special teething dummy that sits over their gums they can bite, its from Happy Baby (Baby Bunting stock them in SA). They come in two sizes for the first teeth a smaller size and later on bigger for the molars. Invaluable.

Bonjella and frozen teething rings or rusks.

My vote goes to Hylands products available in most chemists.
They are Bonjela like in theorised third and tablets etc. BUT ARE COMPLETLY NATURAL! Love them ❤️

I’ve never given my son panadol or nurofen for teething.
He always had teething rings, rusks etc
Never had a problem. He’s now 2 and still doing exceptionally well with his teething.

I try and avoid panadol as they teeth for a long time and it’s not good to give panadol so often. The women’s and children’s hospital produce a really good teething gel. You can get it direct from the hospital, otherwise compounding pharmacies generally make it.

I found the teething rings really good, bu do use bonjella just before bed and meals. As we found when our kids were teethin they went right off their food and found using the bonjella just before a meal so good as they started eating again.

I guess that I’ve been lucky with my daughter and her teething woes. Panadol and (alternating) Nurofen worked for her. Also I gave her rusks and teething toys.

I read about putting a damp cloth in the fridge so the baby/ toddler can chew/ suck on something cold but she didn’t go for it. I had also bought some gel filled teething rings and she didn’t go for them either!

It’s not much help but I think trial and error will eventually help you and her. Hopefully the other Mums and Dads will have better tips for you both. Good luck!

I found brauers natural teething drops to be great.
But I also found nurofen better than panadol and baby bonjella.
I also keep pacifiers in the fridge

My boy was teething from 4 weeks. Nothing seemed to work for him apart from the amber teething necklaces. When the body heats up it releases natural pain relief oils into the skin to help regulate body temp
And discomfort. Make sure you set alarms to remind yourself to take it off during nap and night time to avoid any chance of strangulation.

Bonjela is hard to beat but some people don’t like giving certain ingredients to their babies. We have a herbal syrum which is pretty good also. I heard frozen banans work well and rusks

you can get teething items like in a strawberry shape etc and you cool it in tthe fridge and give that to them. bonjela is great. teething rusks are great and you can even make your own
