My daughter’s acne is only now starting to subside as she has just finished high school, so I think stress may have had a lot to do with her acne.

My daughter uses tea tree oil to kill bacteria and a range of Sukin products to cleanse her skin.

Clearasil but if quite bad then proactive.

A good brand cleanser and witch hazel afterwards or you can go the doctor and get medication to ease it.

A dermatologist may be a good way to too? They may be able to offer advice and treatment.

A local chemist can advise you on acne treatment for this age group. A GP can also give you advice and prescribe treatment for acne. It is important to identify the cause of the acne and treatments and results do vary with different people and skin types.

I also had acne at your daughters age and all the way through high school as well. It was quite severe and inflamed aswell.
I tried everything from dermatologist appointments for facials and cleansing, every acne cream I could find in Woolworths and even pro-activ (was not recommended by my dermatologist, but I was desperate)
The only thing was worked for me was medication. I was on Frakas and the big one was Roaccutane for about 9 months and my acne disappeared and the scarring even settled down! I only get breakouts here and there now. Taking Roaccutane I was being routinely checked with blood tests and appointments to verify it working. Its got a high success rate to it may be worth seeing a trusted GP or dermatologist to see if its for your daughter?
Another reason she could be having acne is hormones and going through puberty, her age is usually prime time for it. But keep an eye on it and if she has her cycle already, it may be a good idea for you to monitor it with her, watch if its regular or not. I always had an irregular cycle and pain during my cycle and never thought anything of it. Turns out I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which made my hormones go out of whack.
