Hello!

I’m wondering what is the best way to clean and completely drain a Vaporiser. The inside gets slimy and water always remains. Why can’t it be opened to be cleaned properly? Taav brand in particular. What is the best way to clean a vaporiser?

  • Im surprised by how much vinegar can do 🙂

  • I think leaving it in the sun would be a great idea also-even on a sunny window sill.

  • I use vinegar and it works great.

  • vinegar works well, and leaving out in the sun to dry always makes a huge difference!

  • After I’ve emptied out the water, I wipe it down with a dry cloth and I pop it in the sun for a few hours before storing away.

  • put it out in the sun for alittle while?

  • Im really not sure this is a great question

  • Is there special cleaning tablets for them?

  • diluted bi carb soda, and make sure it air drys thoroughly

  • i don’t put tap water in mine as i find this to make it worse, vinegar and water run it through a cycle then wash out, leave outside in sun to dry

  • I’ll need to check mine – I thought Vaporiser can’t be opened, until I read some responses. I rinse mine with vinegar water and turn it upside down to dry

  • We used vinegar, water and a bottle brush

  • I use a bottle brush and hot soapy water then I leave it out side on the end of the clothes line to dry and air

  • have you contacted manufacture and asked them what they would recommend?

  • I have a Vicks one and opening is really hard to get the water out. I wipe it out with a soapy cloth, rinse it out, tip as much water out as I can then tip it upside down and shake it. It gets the rest of the water out that would otherwise get stuck in the lip. Then I grab a face washer/small towel and wipe it out. If you store it dry the last longer.

  • Regularly clean it out with a vinegar water solution.

  • Best to read the instructions. But I clean mine with vinegar, then open it up and clean the inside.

  • Vinegar is a great natural disinfectant, try that.

  • Flush with hot water after use and empty by holding upside down, sterident tablets, alcaseltza, bicarb and vinegar will all help remove any deposits. Soft bottle brush helps too.

  • Oh gosh…im going to earmark this post as I have a vaporiser on its way to me at the moment.
Im not sure which brand but obviously im going to have to clean it at some point also.
