Great question. We just tried the Scotts Lawn Builder 4kg Extreme Green Slow Release Lawn Fertiliser that was recommended below and day 3 tomorrow so fingers crossed. 🙂
Water has really helped, deep soaking at least once a day and giving a top up if very hot, along with occassional applications of Sealsol mixture which is meant to stimulate root growth. You can dilute as needed and apply wiht watering can. I think lawn fertiziler that you can scatter on in slow release pellets is a good idea too but not sure if that helped us or not.
We laid turf because our soil is so bad that professional gardeners laughed at us when we asked for advice. I understand that even if you’ve got good soil, it’s a lot of work to maintain a good lawn.
The first comment is the right answer! We got ours from an agriculture business next to my husbands work and golly, everyone tells us we have the best lawn in the suburb
I used to use Sulfate of Amonia not sure if I have it right but I used that on my lawn, you sprinkle it like fertiliser and water the lawn as usual and the lawn would come up lovely and green.
