  • I was given the task to make the kids Christmas Chocolate Crackles. Wow fab that’s easy! Got all the ingredients together in bowls in order.. INGREDIENTS.. 4 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Bubbles®, 1 cup icing sugar, 1 cup desiccated coconut, Melted 250g copha®*, 3 Tbsp cocoa. Placed all ingredients in the bowl mixed up and placed in pretty CHRISTMAS Patty Pans. Presented to the kids they were all excited to eat theirs.. then the YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! was coming from the unhappy kids.. Oh No WHAT has happen. I took one to taste… NO ICING SUGAR! I had misread and elimited the icing sugar which gives these delights it’s sweetness! O.M G.! AWEFUL! What a disaster!!

  • This is too funny to read. I can’t remember making a festive food fail

  • Aw lol Del Clark ! a pity of all the money you spend on ingredients !

  • I was invited to spend Christmas with friends as both children were overseas . Wanting to impress I decided to do my favourite “Set Salads” as the lunch was to be all cold! Layers of peas in mint jelly, next was mud crab in aspic followed by prawns in tartare sauce, This was a no fail recipe and each layer was done over a full day as they had to set separately!! Off I set with the rings in the esky – a half hour drive, then a couple of hours till lunch – but !! — I had forgotten to add the 3 ice bricks from the freezer in my hurry!! Result ? you guessed it !!

  • I’m lucky enough I haven’t had a fail only due to the fact my in-laws get me to make the same thing every year but I will never forget my disorder in law did a dessert a chocolate tart which was cacao and we couldn’t eat it it was disgusting

  • A stuffing turkey that had a unique flavour!

  • turducken, or what ever the heck my mother served a couple of years ago, it had a heap of different meats and it was terrible

  • Desserts most of the time.

  • Mine was dessert.
I made a jelly slice and when I went to cut the slice – the jelly melted right off haha – clearly had not set in time.

  • I was too nervous about cooking a turkey when hosting my family of 10, that I ordered a pre-cooked one from a nearby store. When I picked it up it was tiny and wouldn’t have fed 10. Rushed to Aldi and bought a turkey buff. While heating it all up in the oven the pre-cooked turkey dried out and became almost inedible and the buff was barely cooked. Urgh. What a disaster!

  • My fail was roasting what I thought was beef and it was silverside. It was okay but wouldnt do it again

  • My biggest fail, I cook lunch and we have tea at my son’s Aunty Annes.I took the ham one year,..only they had all become vegan, vegetarian.

  • The worst fail was I bought a plum pudding in a cloth, left it hanging till Christmas, boiled it up and when I opened it it was mouldy – shock horror – particularly as I all all the family and other friends for Christmas dinner.

  • I was very stressed while making a trifle. I poured the hot custard into the whipped cream 🙂 Fail!
