Huggies and babylove. Coles comfy bots are also goidnand cheap. Snugglers aren’t bad either. Personal preference. Buy when on sale

I’m a big Huggies supporter. Although Aldi’s nappies and Coles comfy bots are great too

I have used Huggies for both of my kids and never had a problem.

We have always used huggies. All other brands give my kids nappy rush.

I found Huggies Newborns to be the best first up. Once my child grew, I was able to mix it up a bit, but for those first few months, I found these to be the best by far.

each mum is different when it comes to nappies. my sister in law swears by huggies but i think most nappies are good these days

jump online one day and find out all the brands of nappies that there are then contact the company and explain youre having a baby and youd love to try their nappies. most of them will be happy to send out a sample. some even send samples of their other products too. make sure you include your address when you contact them

Our experience with two girls (both over 9lbs at birth) were that Huggies provide a superior disposable nappy to any other brand. The newborn size was the only brand to prevent leakage of the inevitable poo explosions you can anticipate!! We then used Babylove infant size and switched back to Huggies for crawler, toddler & walker sizes. Although I’ve had lots of friends swear by the Aldi brand, we tried and had problems every time (possibly because our daughters were both big water drinkers). The absorbency was nowhere compared to Huggies. We used twice as many (so they didn’t work out to be economical) and still had frequent leaking. Plus I also think they don’t disguise the odour of a wet or dirty nappy as well. I do have to agree that Snugglers come a close second to Huggies. And at a better price, they’re a great option. It’s just that availability/practicality can be an issue depending on where you do your grocery shopping and if the store sells them. At the end of the day though, it is complete trial and error. What works for one child doesn’t for the next. And often gender, build of the child etc. contribute to what you end up using. Just be prepared for 10-12 nappies per day for a newborn. They use a lot!!!!!! And supplies dwindle quickly. I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant too and seriously considering cloth nappies this time around, both for economical and environmental reasons. Our youngest is 3yo and relatively recently toilet trained. I’m loving not buying boxes of nappies any more.

I have tried so many different brands- Huggies, Snugglers, Baby Love, Coles, Nati, Woolworths- but I still find that the best brand of all is the Aldi Mamia. They have won awards and they really are great and seem to leak less than other brands as they have extra tabs at the front and they are also the cheapest that you can buy so go figure. Save yourself some money without sacrificing on quality and just buy Aldi :).

Huggies are our favourites. I did see also that the Mamia nappies from Aldi received awards in the Mother and Baby magazine.

Disposable nappies have come along way with their absorbency in the last few years… they have made that progress by treating the fibres with bleaches, chlorine and harsh chemicals thought. So thought they are more absorbent and quickly draw the moisture away from the skin they are potentially allowing a lot of cross over via the thin skin of the perineum.

Claims of bio degradable nappies also don’t stack up as the land fill environment that nappies end up in tends to pertrify waste rather than promote decomposition.

The kindest nappies you can buy (both for your baby’s bottom and the earth) are reusable nappies. They don’t have to be organic but talk to a company rep about how they make their fibres absorbant to make sure they aren’t using nasty chemicals. If the “can’t” answer your questions, it’s usually because they don’t want to so keep shopping.

We’ve got 4 kids. For each, I started with a box of Huggies Newborn. Babies grow very quickly so I didn’t buy too many and get stuck with ones too small. Each baby was different so as they grew I’d try a different brand in each size. I now avoid the cheap plastic import nappies from the 2 dollar shops – they left horrible dye stains on the kids and leaked. My overall favourite though are the reusable cloth nappies. I bought mine online from Bits4Bubs (Hervey Bay). The clips make them resizable, I’ve saved a stack of money, and there are some beautiful designs to compliment any outfit. I generally use cloth through the day and disposable when we’re out or at night. As we’re potty training now, we’re using undies during the day and cloth at night.

Huggies newborns are snugglier than the other nappies for newborns. After that, trial and error.

I agree with the other posts about starting on Huggies newborns- def the best nappies on the market for controlling leaks. After that, I swear by Snugglers. I tried lots of different brands after my first and found they were the best for us. I used them again second time around and Could not fault them… Great price and great. They get my vote

We always started out with the huggies newborn nappies & then moved to Babylove once they were a little bigger. I also tried the Aldi brand nappies but only used them for day time & the babylove for at night.

I used Huggies new born, Don’t but too much, you might need to try a few different types and they grow so quick you will need the next size before you realise the time has flown by.

I purchased a small collection of different nappies to try and see which one worked and which one didn’t. Each child is unique and they can be allergic to some disposable nappies so it is better to do the old “trial and error”.

cloth nappies better for the environment no un-necessary expense much more hygienic for family and home does not increase profits for plastic made rubbish manufacturing companies

I always used just homebrand nappies from Aldi and Woolworths (I don’t have positive experiences with the homebrand nappies from Coles). Sometimes when the kids had severe nappy rash I would buy more expensive brands, in the hope that would make a difference. Was never sure if that really helped.

We started with Huggies and sometimes used Babylove. We ended up going for Aldi’s Mamias as our daughter got older. Loved them!
