We’ve got a Labrador Retriever and he’s so good with kids. But yes, he’s big. As an adult he’s around 30 kilos. But Labradors and Golden Retrievers have such a gentle temperament. It would be a great addiction to your family! 🙂

Some sort of poodle is good with kids, doesn’t shed hair (they have wool), if you don’t want too big toy or miniature are great.

Beagles are great with kids, however require a LOT of exercise and can be very naughty if they do not have enough excercise and mental stimulation.

Bichon Frise again great with kids, even great for people with allergies as these guys have hair not fur, again though these ones require a LOT of exercise.

Shih Tzu’s are fiercely loyal and not overly active.

Maltese are great and again great for people with allergies, however these guys hate being left alone so if you will be out a lot I do not suggest this one.

If you do not mind a little bigger the Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Boxers are all kids perfect with children (Boxers renowned for being very protective of their little masters). Hope this helps you.
