Hello!

I have a 5 month old on solids and we all know the struggle is real when it comes to stains. I use a bib to ensure as little mess as possible when feeding but there is always some that gets on clothes (especially white!).

What do you find best to soak/wash them in?

Is there something else that I can do that has worked for you? What stain remover do you use?

  • If Napisan didn’t work I’d use bleach on whites.

  • I always used Napisan and soaked clothes overnight and most stains came out.

  • Vanish Gold & Napisan.
I also buy the spray stain remover & I’m yet to come across a stain I can’t tackle!
Sometimes it does take a couple of washes so don’t be disheartened if your first time only fades the stain, keep going & it will disappear :)

  • I swear by Napisan! It’s always worked fir me. Fir stubborn stains, I repeat the shaking process. For really stubborn stains, I’ll spray with stain remover and then repeat soaking process. It’s great. Or, just use stained clothes round home :)

  • Yes I brought vanish gold and it works for me too!

  • I find eucalyptus wool wash is fantastic on stains just rub it neat into the stain and rinse before putting into the wash. It is gentle and effective and works on most things including delicate fabrics. Great for carpets too.

  • lots of preen as soon as the item is taken off, or soak in nappy san, and the sun is a great friend too

  • I use the Aldi version of Napisan and that works for me.

  • I use vanish or napisan and try to get onto to it quickly, soak it and then add to my normal wash. If it is white soak in Napisan.

  • After reading reviews on this site for vanish gold I bought some and it great. I make a paste with it, rub it on the stain leave for a minute or so and chuck it in the wash with the rest of the clothes. Works a treat. Very happy and stain free

  • I soak with Vanish! I find it very reliable and effective

  • Vanish spray and Vanish Gold powder both work really well.

  • I scrub them with Sard Wonder Soap before I put the clothes in the wash. This really helps. I used to soak them first, but found this wasn’t enough for the food stains and that the clothes needed to be agitated to wash properly.

  • Napisan is usually a winner for me. The quicker you get a remover onto the stain the better.

  • vanish in the powder and laundry spray but beware some stains won’t come out still!

  • Stain removal I use napisan and really haven’t had anything not come out. But my little tip for meal time is to get one of those smocks from IKEA with the sleeves. Seriously saves so much scrubbing!

  • I haven’t found anything that works really well yet – but I haven’t tried the new Vanish Gold so might have to give it a go

  • Anything orange or green stains and I found putting it in the wash straight away works best

  • I brought vanish gold and it works for me (to remove paint stains from my little girl’s dress).

  • make a bicarb paste and squoosh it into the stain, if it is something like soya sauce, then soda water really works…. Also Vanish spray absolutely blitzed onto the stain asap works a treat!
