  • I used a hand pump medela it worked great

  • I have the spectra and its amazing

  • My Medela electric pump was the absolute best thing I owned as a new mum. It got used a lot but held up brilliantly.

  • Depends a lot on why you’re pumping and how often. Eg preemie baby or mix fed bub or pumping between feeds. This will help decide a pump best to needs.
I found the Madela pump amazing. There’s also one called Specrta. These are great and lots of hospitals have them and recommend them.
If looking to increase and maintain supply I’d look at getting a hospital grade pump. Spectra and Madela both have this type. Can be bought or hired. Highly recommend hiring a brand until you find the one that suits you best for your needs.

  • I would definitely get an electric one, the hand pump ones are so tedious and horrible to use. I had a Tommee tippee closer to nature and it was great for me

  • Depends on how long you think you’ll pump. For my first, she was in NICU so I had to exclusively pump. While there I had my Pigeon, the hospital medela and some other brand. Hands down I loved the Medela and wished I had of bought that instead of the pigeon. 100% recommend Medela Swing single electric for home use. You can get a manual pump, but if you end up pumping frequently, you’ll wish you got an electric.
