Hello!

I just was interested in people’s thoughts regarding the Voice campaign and will you be voting Yes or No

  • The government sold it as acknowledging our indigenous by adding them to the constitution. That it will help our indigenous in outback Australia, improve their lives etc. I’m all for that. But I don’t think ‘The Voice’ is the way to do it. Very sad to see John Farnham let them use his song for the campaign

  • Definitely a yes from me!
The voice will be an advisory body. The parliament will still make the laws. This just ensures that first nations people can contribute on matters that will affect them.

  • I’ll vote yes. I do think the “no” case has some valid points (eg it’s not going to immediately improve anyone’s life), but they are not good enough reasons to vote no. Yes is at least a step forward.

  • No from me. As far as I’m concerned, there is simply not enough information as to exactly what it will entail. I dont trust politicians either, renowned for lying

  • Im undecided on this

  • Yes :)

  • Yes.

  • Well they reckon that this is the only chance to recognize the Indigenous people’s of Australia, by voting YES, to have them written into our Constitution.

  • I’ve never followed the program, so no idea

  • Thrilled that John Farnham has added his voice to the campaign.

  • I want to see the Aborigines recognised in the constitution but i will be voting NO because how it is written now only divides our country by race. Someone should be asking all of the institutions for helping Aboriginies where is the $ billions of help is going right now. Plus I have seen footage of the two women who helped write the voice both saying that the document is actually 15- 20 pages long and Albanese is saying it is only one page. I dont trust Labour because they wont give us details. You dont buy a car without taking it for a test run first!

  • Its YES from me

  • A no brainer for me; a hard YES! It is long overdue!

  • I would be very wary of something being inserted into the constitution of this country without knowing the full ins and outs of the final result. I look at the USA’s constitution that was written during a war with England and France that says everyone has the right to bear arms. Just look at the way that is harming children in schools these days – do we want to change our constitution that is written for ALL Australians to one that will possibly divide us.
Yes, I want to help our indigenous people to live as long and not be affected by alcohol and abuse like those of some of us who are more recent arrivals, but that does mean that they have to work for this as do the rest of us.
In my opinion, either we are all Australians or we are not.
This Voice gives one set of Australians more than other sets of Australians, and that is not fair imo.
