Please ensure you fill out the ‘contributor information’ section with all your details, bio and image. Your bio and image are linked to each one of your articles on our site and you can update it at anytime you like via your profile page.

Once you’ve uploaded an article our editorial team will work to see if your article is suitable for the site.

If so, we will work towards a publishing date according to our schedule.

You can keep track of where your article is up to when you check your profile page.

We will send you an email if your article has been published on our site though please always keep track of articles via the profile link.

Although we don’t make payment for any articles submitted, we do help to boost profiles by publishing articles for our contributors – attribution is provided with each article.

Not all submissions received will be published on site, though of course if there are any questions we are most happy to help you so please don’t hesitate to contact the team.

Advertorial content

Please be aware that ANY content that is seen as advertising is a paid service at Mouths of Mums and we reserve the right to edit all content submitted at our discretion. If you’re looking to post an article that has advertising or product mentions in it then please contact the team to understand costs involved.

Article requirements

Copy length should be between 300 and 1000 words.

Think about including subheads and text break outs to provide visual interest and attract your reader’s eye.

Think about the keyword you were writing for – i.e. what would mums be typing into Google to find this article (and then find the article useful).  Once you know the keyword (or key phrase) pepper this exact word or phrase throughout the article and please use this in the heading of the article.

The aim of our articles are to entertain and inform. We want women to read articles on our site and feel compelled to comment, share  and discuss.

How do we schedule articles on our site?

If your article has been approved to be published then we aim to get it on site as soon as is possible, though this could take up to 4 weeks. Please keep an eye on your profile page to see where it is up to in our process.

Timing is determined by the type of content going up to see that we don’t place up too many of the same sort of articles in close time periods. If you’re looking to have more than one piece published, it would be fantastic to get a few articles through at a time so we can look at booking them into the schedule.

If a piece needs to run at a certain time please flag that to us in an email (articles@mouthsofmums.com.au) once you have submitted the article.

Original content required!

We do require original articles for our site. Any duplicate content on sites tends to worry Google and it won’t do well for both your Google ranking as well as ours – so exclusive is the way to go for content supplied to Mouths of Mums.
