  • Everything can be dangerous. That’s why parents should be there to supervise.

  • We have one every year at our volunteer fire brigade picnic and we have never had a problem but children must be supervised all the time. Everything can be dangerous when the right care and supervision is not given

  • Kids definitely need to be supervised

  • Kids are pretty sturdy – as long as you supervise! As a farm kid myself though, and having raised quite a few kids on the farm you’d be suprised what kids can handle when you teach them proper respect for dangerous activities.

  • yes well everyone is right. gotta supervise! did you see the vid on youtube or the news where the jumping castle literally got blown away! they had tied it down but not tight enough and only tied a couple. that would have been so scary for the kids!

  • Children do need to be supervised when using any equipment and especially when it is a party and other people’s children are attending and playing on equipment. Other parents also have a duty of care to supervise children too.

  • I’ve never heard of anyone being hurt in a jumping castle, however anything can happen. I think you just have to ensure that children are properly supervised.

  • I think that like everything, you need adult supervision.

  • I think its all about supervision when there is one around. Kids can get hurt so easily banging heads etc. Or worse as you have pointed out. I have been to parties where people just send the kids out to play in them without a worry. But with my kids i will always be a few steps away watching just incase someone gets hurt.

  • Wow I didn’t know that. I’ve seen them on the news for not being secured properly and being blown into the sky.

  • Oh I have never experienced that before but is a fair point. I think under supervision they are lots of fun

    • You’re exactly right, supervision is required.
