My baby shower is this weekend and I’m so excited. The theme is pink and white polka dot. Would anyone like to share some pictures of their baby shower, and any tips for me :)

  • I had a surprise baby shower and the main colours were pink and purple I had so much fun! My tummy had a good work out from all the laughing I did that day but the one thing I learnt from the baby shower is that it’s best to provide snacks or nibbles. My 2 best friends and my sisters organised a BBQ only to have most of the guest leave before the BBQ was cooked so we were left with so much food left over and I felt bad that they went through all this effort :( but it was all so yummy. My favourite game was called “Pin the dummy” they enlarged a picture of my face and stuck it to a whiteboard and then each person was blindfolded and was given a dummy and they had to try to aim for the mouth. The person who aims closet to mouth wins that was the crowds favourite. Then on the other side of the whiteboard everybody wrote messages and it was really sweet

  • we get little plastic baby and freeze them in plastic shoot glass and they can not warm the shoot glass or any thing like that. So it is the first baby born wins (all ice melts) this one we let every one take one at the start and they watch it while you do other games. You can get a basket and put baby items in it and hide with it an take some items and sometimes take no items and they have to guess what you have done.. a memory test. You can also get rolls of toilet paper and 2 to a team and they have too make a nappy on the other person as well as bib bonnet booties and mittens this gives you some laughs and their is no tape to hold any thing. Also have a ball of string and let them look at the Mum to be and than they have to cut a piece of string to the length they think would go around Mum and the biggest part of her belly…they all try their string around the Mum to be and the closest wins. you can also get dolls and do a baby changing race as well as you do baby animals as to what they are called like a clutch of chickens a baby horse foal baby cow calf than you get some hard ones as well and you get people to write down the answers the one with the most right wins also fill a real baby bottle with lollies and they guess how many and the one that gets it or closets gets the bottle of lollies…they usually take the lollies and give the bottle to Mum. We usually do for prizes and they are lucky dips baby bottles with lollies in you can buy in the shops as well as dummy lollies and jelly babies in small packets which we tie to all the prizes little plastic nappy pins with curling ribbon as well as dummies you can get. You can find heaps of decorations as lots of different places like spot lite some of the cheaper shops or party shops I also make baby chocolates and building blocks and ducks baby shoes nappy pins as I have the moulds as I have done so many baby showers. you can look on the net to help you with these things. We decorate balloon it’s a girl or it’s a girl or you go another colour with baby or baby shower on them we also do banners as well as strings of flags. You can get sashes that say Mum to be as well as Nanna or Grandma to be. Hope this is a start for you
