Hello!

Since having a baby, I have been spending a bit of time finding the best deals for toys, clothes and anything baby related. I have now extended it to household items too. We are stocking up when on sale, to save in the long run. Anyone else find themselves doing this too?

  • Oh definitely, I didn’t ever do that before kids. Now everything has to be costed and compared, scrimped and saved for.

  • Yes, I do it too. However my kids are suddenly not growing quite right to the seasonal weather size I estimate. One thing about it TShirts can be put under PJs for extra warmth – expexially for kids who insist in sleeping with their arms out, therefore the upper part of their body isn’t covered up properly.

  • Discounted products because they are close to their use by date, that can be frozen are always on my shopping list.

  • Yes I do the same thing :) Being a Mum of 5 if I see bargains, I put them aside for the kids if they have good results from school for the week.

  • I love bagging a bargain and also buy clothes for the next couple of years if they’re cheap.

  • I love it too, but sometime I feel my house is full of stuff I don’t need right now.

  • I love looking for bargains and feel really pleased with myself when i do.
I always buy kids clothes in the sale ready for the next winter or summer a few sizes bigger so they will fit them.

  • I love a bargain and buying in bulk when l have some extra money to do so. I also go to shops like NQR (Not Quite Right), Cheaper by Miles etc. You can get some real bargains at these type of places.

  • I love the challenge of finding items on sale, whether they’re household items, gifts for others, or grocery items. Buying some things in bulk can really save money, and my mother, sister & I often buy in bulk & divide what we’ve bought, so it’s less shopping for all of us, and saves us money. It wouldn’t matter if I was a millionaire, I’d still love a bargain.

  • I love getting a bargain and buy everything I can when it is on sale. It used to drive my husband nuts until one year he was dreading going Christmas shopping and I told him that I had it all done (except for my own!).

  • Yes, you are not only with this train of thought. Making adjustments like this has helped us save lots in the long run. Sometime it involves a little more effort to shop outside of times you actually need things just to ensure you get the sale/bargain price. But it is worth it.

  • Oh yes – you not only want to save money, you want to spend less time shopping, and bulk buying helps with that.
