Is it just me... - Real Mum story on MoM

I am at a loss to come to terms with it being June (and Winter!) on Monday! It feels like only yesterday I was thinking I’m glad all the Christmas madness is over! I know we say it every year but WOW – this year is REALLY speeding by!

Is it because we are busier? I’m a SAHM and some of our days in this cold weather seem REALLY long (when we can’t get out) but still, the year is flying by! I was really hoping this year would be a “leisurely stroll” as next year I will have one starting Kinder, one in Grade 10 and my eldest in year 11 – all big milestones. Instead it seems to be going so fast I cant keep up and even the kids think it’s going fast!

Who else feels the same? I’d love it to slow down a little, but probably not too much when it’s so cold

I love the colder months. I love the fire, rain, hot coffee, curling on the couch with a good book while the weather is shocking outside. Love it

In the society that we live in YEP life seems to be zipping by! Like everything and everyone expects you to have no free time and to be always busy doing stuff. We make sure to embrace winter (for our sanity and health lol) by having a good supply of cold and wet weather gear and getting out to the country for walks and camps. Even a couple hours at the local tiny park can slow things up for us

Ice just finished my first semester of uni since bub was born and while it’s been tough I wonder if I’m kidding myself that it’s done… It went so quick. The days are long but the years a short, and this one’s shorter than normal
