Hello!

Two days ago my little boy turned one! Such a big milestone and one I’m so grateful for. He is my last child and while I don’t miss the newborn months or coping with pnd, I do miss the ending of this chapter that has gone so fast this time round. He is currently crawling although I think he could walk if he so desired. He is a busy, healthy and happy little boy whom I love very much. He plays happily with my almost 3 year old and has just learn to say mum, mum, mum, I’m so proud! We are off for needles next week, but I’ll be glad when they are out of the way, afterall, they are another Milestone!

  • You sound like you are celebrating the journey along the way. Happy birthday to your little one and have fun with the milestones to come.

  • Take as many photos as you can, and keep a journal of things he does and says. They’ll come in very handy when you’re planning 18th or 21 st birthday parties, or wedding speeches. And yes, they do indeed grow up way too soon.

  • Milestones are so important. I only have the one child and we have shared care. I missed a few things along the way like not always being able to be the tooth fairy because he was at dads. I soak up all the milestones that I can. I think some people get sick of me talking about my son and the little things he achieves, but to me they are major, as I have to work full time and cherish the time I have with him.

  • Totally agree. It is the milestones that remind you that it is the ending of an era. My son is now 8 and I get melancholy now he is getting embarrassed when we kiss and hug each other goodbye at school.
