So MoMs…
How do you handle money worries? Bills piling up, bills you struggle to pay and more on the way. As a mum with a house full of toddlers, uni and only part time work…I’m struggling with managing child care, fees, bills, everything! And with no help i struggle a lot. I’m looking to see what you all do to stay afloat. Tips and tricks?

  • I’m in the same situation. I’ve started doing avon on the side but to be honest it takes a while before anything starts coming in. It’s a good idea though.

  • Same boat too with illness in family & resignation to apply for carer’s pension. Perhaps think of market research places, mystery shopping, surveys? Good luck 🙂

  • It is so tough. I’m in the same vote. Just when I think I’m getting on top of things another big bill hits. Sometimes I wonder if it will ever get easier

  • I feel you. I am in the same boat. I have three degrees one being a registered nurse, I have four kids under 6 years and I am single. I went back to work but with the shift work the child care fees, plus before and after care fees were killing me, I was working to pay the babysitter. I think that there should be greater assistance with child care for sole parents. The government needs to help people especially people without family to help out get back into the work force. I could work and would if I could get a 9-2pm job but where are they?
I get assistance from salvos and vinnies every three months just to take some stress off with bills. They are also great for helping out when you really can’t spread the dollar the whole way round. Good luck keep your head up its not worth worry about too much because someone will always help you if you put your feelers out. I have a girlfriend that is in my shoes and we bounce off each other helping each other where we can.
