10 lucky winners will receive a copy of The Drop-Off by Fiona Harris & Mike McLeish!

The Drop-Off is a hilarious look at the unlikely friendship between three parents who gossip, laugh, drink coffee and would rather keep to themselves at school drop off. A cross between Kitty Flanagan and Liane Moriarty, this is a novel that will make you laugh and cry while reminding us all of the redemptive power of friendship, community, forgiveness… and good coffee!

And it all begins at The Drop-Off.

Written by husband and wife team, Mike McLeish and Fiona Harris, The Drop-off is based on the award-winning, critically acclaimed web series of the same name.

  • Soaked from rain wearing white…

  • New car drop off and I remember the looks coming from the boys it was a Holden and it was my lesson in boys toys lol

  • Worst memory was being ignored by a lot of mothers when I went to a new school they were completely rude but the best was when I found genuine friends within weeks.

  • Best memory was greeting other parents and my worst was walking past parents who refused to say hello or acknowledge me.

  • Long story short, explosive poo, no sore clothing resulting in a wonderful sick day spent playing together haha!

  • My oldest daughters first day of school she had absolute blast but I missed her and still do to this day

  • Love picking my daughter up from school, seeing her face light up when she sees me as she walks out of her classroom

  • Worst memory, dripping my eldest daughter to school and my youngest daughter, who was a toddler at the time, tripped and took my pants down with her. I was standing the playground in my undies

  • Dropping him off in heels on the way to work and standing in a mystery puddle neither of us saw soaking us both lol

  • It was a funny one…sleep deprived with a newborn, dropping off at 4yo kinder, bag packed, kids dressed & on time. Drive all the way to kinder & realise when park the car & get out the kinder boy’s shoes are still at home!!!

  • My best memories from school pick up was when my eldest first started kindergarten. He ran out of the classroom to give me a hug and tell me all about his day

  • Ahhh well, my skirt falling down…or my baby showing everyone my boobs? Take your pick

  • Running late, I once did my school run wearing nothing but a transparent, shorty nightie. Unfortunately, at the drop off my daughter accidentally tripped and fell. I instantly jumped out of the car. My daughter was okay but I died of embarrassment in front of the gaping teachers and parents!

  • Oh definitely the worst memory is just when we’re all caught in the middle of a raging thunderstorm with no umbrellas & little patience left! Really makes your day!

  • Dropping my kids off on a pupil free day and having the office call me to pick them back up

  • leaving my child with a stranger

  • MEETING new people who make me realise I’m not alone in this crazy world haha

  • Being teased by other kids for the car my stepdad drove. Went to reasonably feral public school and was surprisingly teased because he drove a newish Mercedes. Kids will tease over ANYTHING.

  • Basically everyday been looked at as if you are a not dressy or pretty enough or drive the right type of Car

  • rushing rushing to make sure you catch the bus which was 12km our nearest town dodging the stray kangaroos on the way !!!
