At only 26, Adrian Grasso has owned Reginaldo’s Pizza for nearly 5 years. Almost as if the business was in his destiny, Adrian had worked part-time at Reginaldo’s when it was a restaurant as doughboy while he finished school. From there he went to study at university and secured a job at Coles supermarkets where he quickly moved up the ranks into a managerial role within 2 years. It was then that he realised he much preferred learning on the ground rather than from books.

Adrian’s father owned a gourmet deli in Sydney’s Dulwich Hill and started buying pizza bases from Reginaldo’s for his store. He soon discovered that the business was for sale and encouraged Adrian to take it on at just 21. While it hasn’t always been easy, this impressive and passionate young entrepreneur has turned the business around, growing annual sales to their highest ever this year.

As Reginaldo’s has gone from strength to strength, Adrian has remained firm that the pizzas must continue to reflect the brand’s ethos – which is why they’re handmade from the finest Australian and Italian ingredients. Best of all Reginaldo’s Pizza is always fresh, not frozen and free from artificial flavours and colours with no added sugars.

Sadly, Adrian’s father passed away a year ago which has made the success of Reginaldo’s all the more important for Adrian.

“Reginaldo’s has become quite sentimental to me over the four and a half years I’ve had it. I have a lot of passion for it and I love what I do. There is nothing better than hearing people say how much they love the bases, and that’s what inspires me to push on and why my bases are and always will be handmade. It’s what makes Reginaldo’s unique and what we know our customers want.”

Reginaldo’s Pizza is available from selected IGA Supermarkets and independent grocers in Sydney and Melbourne, with plans to expand into SA and QLD. Adrian also has a line of bases and pizzas available in Harris Farm Markets branded ‘Harris Farms’ and is soon to launch The Homemade Pizza Co. carefully growing the brand while ensuring handmade, superior quality pizza remains the focus.

  • My favourite changes with family and friends – sundried pesto, marinated artichokes, olives, bocconcini, served with rocket and shaved parmesan for girls’ night out, pepperoni, ricotta oozing mozzarella and basil sauce calzone is the family winner, and there’s always chili seafood for special occasions – to name a few!


  • Maragarita pizza is so cheesy, yum!


  • Vegetarian pizza because I love how the different fresh ingredients (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, capsicum, zucchini, pumpkin) blend together to create this rich, flavoursome, succulent, BEAUTIFUL meal that is mouth-watering and enjoyable to eat for the whole family, even the little fussy eaters would have no issues having ‘veggies’ inside!


  • Hawaiian Pizza is controversial…I know. But I just can’t beat that salty, sweet & crispy combo of pineapple & good quality ham on a quality base.

  • My family love a supreme pizza with lots of pineapple and cream cheese, it really sets off the flavour and goes so well with the mozzarella! We also add plenty of capsicum, mushrooms & sundried tomatoes.


  • Pepperoni Pitza is the best because at the end of a busy day there is nothing like a glass of red wine and a slice of pjtza to make the worries of the day disappear


  • I go from one to another. I used to like Aussie, then seafood, but now mix it up. I like pizzas that work as well for breakfast as dinner or late night snacks.


  • I LOVE spinach and mozzarella pizza. Spinach is a super food that has many health benefits and this combination tastes amazing.

  • I love supreme with THE LOT, Olives, Artichokes, Anchovies you name it. Somewhere in my past life I was a European loving all this stuff, forget ham & pineapple, what’s that?


  • Hawaiian pizza is just like life – sweet (pineapple), sour (sauce), salty (bacon), bitter (burnt bits), cheesy. Whether it is thick or thin, life is meant to be shared. You can never have enough of the sweetness of pineapples. The great thing is the ingredients always hang tight, staying together harmoniously.


  • Vegetarian Padana – goat’s cheese, caramelised onion, tomato… I just love it so much!


  • I love pepperoni with mushroom, it’s different and nobody will usually steal mine.


  • BBq chicken pizza with pineapple is the best flavour in this world. My mouth waters thinking about it eating this delicious pizza. The flavours just hit perfect with my family as its all our favourirtes!!
