  • Painting. It teaches patience, colour coordination, expression, creativity and fun. Plus she loves running around in an apron , turning into a human rainbow and making ‘presents’ for people. Look out Michael Angelo!


  • drawing with chalk on the cement, she makes words, does math and draws learning spacial awareness and using fine and gross motor skils


  • My daughter LOVES to paint. It’s a little messy, but worth the effort to see how much fun she has and how creative she can be!


  • We love cooking together. She has so much fun and doesn’t even realise it’s a learning activity. I get her to help me read and identify the ingredients, talk about safety and how things grow, learn new skills and is a great opportunity for her to ask me question.


  • She loves reading! So this would be perfect. No more carrying lots of books out shopping with us. I could just take the leap pad for her to read and enjoy!


  • My son loves paying yahtzee! he learns to count the dice and loves winning!


  • Mathematics. She must get it from my husband though as I am hopeless with numbers

  • My son loves maths so he counts everything around the house like when we are setting the table he counts the cutlery and then minuses which items we are using from how many items there are.


  • Memory. My Son has some behavioural problems and the classic game of Memory has considerably improved his concentration, increased his attention to detail, communication, social skills, even strengthened his visual skills.


  • It’s reading books. Even though he is holding them upside down I know he is learning and making sense of the world. All the other toys have been pushed away and now he has a book toy cupboard. Love watching him make his own choices and explore to learn.

  • My son loves to count blocks with me but not Independently yet, whilst my daughter loves online learning tools the digital age is not lost on her


  • My children have been playing endlessly with Orchard Toys – Match and Spell game, it’s great as they are learning whilst having lots of fun, it’s also very colourful and they can take turns, they are very proud of themselves!


  • my eldest son is 3 years old and he loves learning anything so long S he can do it himself ha ha ha!!! he loves all his learning apps on our ipad mini and always finds the learning shows on kids youtube channel. he loves drawing, cutting, helping to clean and learning LIFE SKILLS, he’s always been interested in learning basically anything he sees someone do!


  • My child’s favourite learning activity would be the sandpit , unearthing hidden treasures, digging, making sandcastles, making lakes with water, running his toes and fingers through the sand as sensory play.
